Note: This guide is intended for those participating in paid onboarding with our team.
When you first access this board, you'll see the title of the board, "Onboarding Kit", at the top left-hand corner and the board description right below that. On this board, the board description is the name of your Onboarding CSM:

You will also see that there are several groups and columns.
This is a group:

And this is a column:

Each board in this kit represents a phase of your learning. There are four boards in total, including the Pre-Kick Off board. As you have discovered, the first group on the Pre-Kick Off board, "Start Here!", is your introduction to the board. While there is some learning involved in your introduction to the board, the lessons technically start under " Phase 1: Get Started".
How the boards are structured
Each board contains groups. The Phase boards have three groups in total: the Learning group, the Homework group, and the Next Steps group. Each group contains items. In the Learning group, each item is a category containing lessons related to the category name. In the below example, the first category is called "What is monday.com?" The lessons for this category are listed in the subitems. The header for the subitem column is "Lessons":

To the right of that column is the "Lesson Type" column. This indicates what type of lessons are contained within that category. The "Media" column prepares you for the type of content contained in the Lessons. There are Readings, Videos, Worksheets, Meetings, and a combination of Video & Reading.
The "Est. Time in Minutes" column tells you approximately how long it will take you to complete all of the lessons in the category. The column header is green because this is a Mirror Column. Put simply, this column reflects data up from the subitems.
The four columns to the right of this are also Mirror Columns. They reflect the information from the Status Columns in the subitems. More on this in the next section of this guide.
The final column on this board is also a Mirror Column. In this case, the mirror column reflects up the data from the Progress Tracking column contained in the subitems.
How to use this board
When you got started on this board, you opened up the updates section of the first item on the board and learned how to expand the subitems by clicking on the item's subitem icon. You'll want to repeat this process for each category.
Meaning, if you see an update, always read that first. Whether the speech bubble is blue or grey, if there's a number on the speech bubble, there's an update for you to read. Take a moment to click into that section and read through the update.
After reading any updates, proceed to expand the item's subitems.
To make your way through this board, you'll want to repeat that process for each item/subitem.
Marking your progress
To track you and your team's progress through this training, you'll want to utilize the status columns under the subitems for each category.
Before you really dive into the board's content, add your name to the board. To do this, you will change a column header to indicate your name rather than "Champion". By hovering over the column header, you will find that you can click to highlight and change the text. Click outside of the text field to save your changes:

As you move through the board, change the status of each subitem to indicate your progress. Your progress will feed into the column called "Progress" automatically.
![]()
As you complete lessons, the parent item (also called the "category" in this guide) will show the progress in the "Progress" column.
How to search this board
If you have a question or want to jump to a certain topic to learn more ahead of schedule, you can search the board. To search the board, navigate to the top, right-hand corner. There you'll find the Search icon:

When you click on the Search icon, you will open up a dialogue. Try typing a keyword in to search the board. The relevant results will be highlighted:

That's it! We recommend completing all of the lessons to have the most productive onboarding period possible. If you have any questions about this board, reach out to your Onboarding Success Manager.
